Maka‘ala Ka‘aumoana, Founder of the Hanalei Watershed Hui


Maka‘ala Ka‘aumoana will discuss the Hanalei ahupua'a area on the North shore of the island of Kaua‘i. She will discuss the area's unique history, issues, and future. This area is directly adjacent to the Kau


a‘i boundary of the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine sanctuary. Maka‘ala is also the vice chair of the HIHW Sanctuary Advisory Council and is the director and founder of the Hanalei Watershed Hui.
